A teaching circle is a group of faculty interested in investigating a similar theme, learning outcome, technology or technique.

MICA has had two recent teaching circles: Inclusive Teaching Practices for Linguistically Diverse Classrooms and Artificial Intelligence.

  • A teaching circle is informal and does not have to be tied to specific outcomes for the group.
  •  Best practices suggest no more than 5 to 8 members in a teaching circle to allow flexibility.
