GradEx Solo Exhibition: Elizabeth Miller

Date
November 14, 2017 – November 27, 2017
Location
Fred Lazarus IV Center
131 W North Ave

Through art, Elizabeth Miller attempt to convey her depth of concern for these contemporary issues. The vantage point of being multi-ethnic African, Native, and Dutch-American is not lost on her, and she tries to bring cross-cultural perspectives to her work. With the goal of raising social consciousness through visual art, she would be remiss if she failed to employ graphic imagery to grab the public’s attention and shock them into action.

Elizabeth responds viscerally to sculpture. Her artistic journey lies in exploring all the possibilities it offers. She generally explores her concepts using wire, paper mache, clay, fiber, and paint.  Her aim is to use sculpture to bring her concepts to life and in some small way push boundaries and contribute to the advancement of the medium.

The opening reception of her solo show in Fred Lazarus IV Center will start at 6:30 pm, on Nov. 17.
