Hedonist Buddhist, curated by Joseph Orzal, is an artist-curated bookstore, exhibition, and performance space created in response to the co-opting of eastern spirituality as a consumptive lifestyle—and the impacts of yoga studios on marginalized DC neighborhoods. Over a period of three months, the project will offer opportunities for incisive dialogue through installation, performance, and music. The bookstore will anchor the site as a learning space, allowing social connectivity and education to serve as the core of the exhibition.
