2019 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration

Date
May 31, 2019
Time
5 PM – 9 PM
Location
Falvey Hall
1301 W Mt Royal Ave

This event is the major Asian Pacific cultural heritage event in the greater Baltimore region. This event will serve to highlight the contributions made by the Asian Pacific communities to the people and City of Baltimore. The event will draw a diverse audience, with the intent of gathering together members of the community to enjoy a festive experience, to meet people from diverse backgrounds, and to share their time and communicate their thoughts.

This event will feature keynote speakers from the community, unique cultural traditional dance performances, drummers, and an Asian-African fusion finale drum performance.  We will also have martial arts demonstrations.

There will be Asian food (free inside and vendors outside).

We will have the Japan and Vietnam Embassy represented at this year's event, who will display cultural objects and literature.  Hyundai will bring 2 cars, and the Central Japan Railway Company and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will display a Maglev high–speed train model.  There will also be Sake (rice wine) tasting, calligraphy demonstrations, and Korean origami craft workshops.
