The work in this annual exhibition is a selection of the best submissions from all four years of MICA Undergraduate students. Selected artists are chosen in a variety of disciplines based on artistic merit, creativity, and vision. The exhibition is featured in the Meyerhoff Gallery (Fox Building, Floor 1). This year Lillian Jacobson '16 (Painting BFA) and Kevin Michael Runyon '14 (Painting BFA) serve as jurors.

2026 JURORS

Lillian Jacobson

Lillian Jacobson (b. 1994, Bogotá, Colombia) is a Baltimore-based Latiné artist defining “belonging” through figurative painting. Adopted into a white American family, Lillian has always been attuned to how others see her, which informs her empathetic approach to portraiture. Lillian holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She has exhibited in group shows across the region, including the Walters Art Museum, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Maryland Art Place, Chesapeake Arts Center, Maryland Federation of Art, and the Delaplaine Arts Center, where she won the People’s Choice Award for the 2024 exhibition, Emerging Perspectives. She is a 2025 Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize Finalist.

Kevin Michael Runyon

Kevin Michael Runyon is an artist and arts professional based in the Washington, DC, area. Kevin has worked as the Museum Preparator at the American University Museum for over 10 years and has installed and coordinated over 350 exhibitions with internal and external stakeholders, artists, and curators.  As an artist, Kevin has exhibited in many DMV galleries and museums in both group and solo exhibitions. He graduated with honors with a BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014 and later earned an MFA in Studio Art from American University in 2022.

GALLERY HOURS
Monday - Sunday, 10AM - 5PM.

Campus galleries are open to the public. Outside visitors can enter galleries after signing in at the front desk of the respective building. Please note, on weekends outside visitors will need to be accompanied by a MICA community member with a MICA ID in order to swipe and gain access into respective buildings.
