LIVE@MICA | On-Campus Housing

Welcome to MICA! We’re glad you’ve chosen to join our creative community, and we hope the information below helps you get ready to LIVE@MICA.

Sign Up for Housing

1. Log into LIVE@MICA

Complete your profile

  • Some profile information is pre-populated.
  • Fields that cannot be edited appear grayed out (read-only).
  • Any field not grayed out can be edited.

Required action

  • Upload a photo of yourself (mandatory).
    • Residents without a photo will be told to update it.
    • Users cannot update the profile without a photo (hard stop).

Complete the application form

2. Access the Housing Application using one of the following methods:

  • a. Locate the “apply for housing” option under the “Recommended Actions” section
  •  b. Locate "Housing overview” option under the Housing Section of the menu on the left side of the screen

3. Once you have completed step 2.a or 2.b above, be sure to check the following on the screen: 

The semester to make sure it matches the semester you will move into the residence hall

(Fall Semester - August;  Spring Semester - January)

  • Emergency contact information (required).
  • Housing accommodations
  • Room preferences + lifestyle questions
    • You will then select your preferred room type and answer lifestyle questions to support roommate/suite-mate pairing (especially important for shared spaces).

Review terms and submit

  • Open the “Terms & Conditions file” link and read the Housing Agreement (as named in your instructions).
  • Confirm the information provided is correct.
  • Check all required acknowledgment boxes.
  • Click Submit Application.
  • Submitting the application acts as acceptance/acknowledgment of the housing agreement terms in many housing portals (process details can vary by system). For MICA-specific context, the housing agreement is published online and is acknowledged through the housing application process.

Fall 2026 Application Opens:
The housing application will be available on LIVE@MICA beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026.


On-Campus Residency Requirement

All first-time, first-year students and transfer students entering at the freshman or sophomore level are required to live in on-campus housing. Students must also sign an agreement to remain in on-campus housing for their second year.

Housing Portal Login Notice

Students must use their official MICA credentials to log in to LIVE@MICA.
Personal email addresses can no longer be used to create or access a housing profile.


New Student Housing Sign-Up Timeline: Fall 2026

Date Event
Monday, March 1, 2026 Housing application opens
Sunday, May 31, 2026 Housing application priority deadline
Week of June 8, 2026 Housing assignments and roommate information emailed to residents
Wednesday, August 19 2026 New student move-in begins at 10:00 a.m.

Orientation dates will be communicated directly by the appropriate office.
