Willy Fair ’17 (Animation BFA) primarily works in stop motion animation making handmade worlds that focus on color and texture. His stories use comedy and emotion to explore personal themes, creating films that feel both playful and deeply human. Fair has worked as a stop motion animator, model maker, and rigger for clients including Disney, Nickelodeon, and Netflix.

His latest project, the animated short Death’s Peak, made its world premiere at the 2025 Edinburgh International Film Fest, and was recently longlisted for a 2026 BAFTA Film Award for Best Short Animation. The film will be screened at Baltimore’s SNF Parkway Theatre as part of the 2026 Maryland Film Festival.
