Shelda Eason

User Experience Design MPS, 2024

Shelda Eason is a Sr. UX Designer with nearly a decade of experience creating user-centered solutions across healthcare, telecommunications, and media. In her most recent role as a UX Design Strategist for a healthcare company, Shelda led cross-functional initiatives that improved digital experiences for providers, brokers, and members. She played a key role in the end-to-end design of a self-service broker portal, aligning business goals with user needs through usability testing, workflow mapping, and iterative design practices.

In the healthcare sector, Shelda focused on designing intuitive tools that enabled healthcare administrators to manage enrollment, access marketing materials, and streamline communication with internal teams. Her user research uncovered workflow inefficiencies, leading to modernized solutions that enhanced provider satisfaction and operational performance.

In the telecommunications space, Shelda contributed to enterprise-wide redesign initiatives. At Spectrum Enterprise, she helped improve the lead generation experience and supported internal brand governance by creating reusable UI components and standardized design patterns—ensuring consistency and usability across digital platforms.

Shelda also has deep roots in the advertising and media industry. At BrightLine TV, she designed interactive ad experiences for smart TVs and streaming platforms, collaborating with developers and producers to craft engaging, conversion-driven advertising campaigns.

She holds a Master of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) in UX Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where she expanded her expertise in user research, prototyping, accessibility, and product strategy. She is currently enhancing her UX practice by integrating AI design concepts, exploring how agentic workflows can improve operational efficiency and deliver more adaptive user experiences.

Shelda resides in New York City and serves as an active board member of the Williamson Memorial Park Association, a Harlem-based green space dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability, community events, educational workshops, and volunteer gardening initiatives. Her commitment to community engagement reflects her belief in designing not only for users—but also for the collective good.
