September 27 Human Resources Memo

Details around the on-campus flu vaccine clinic.

Good afternoon,

MICA's Employee Vaccination Policy requires all employees who have a regular on-campus work schedule including those with defined telework agreements to receive an FDA-approved influenza vaccination, unless a reasonable accommodation has been granted. Employees are required to submit written documentation attesting to their proof of the influenza vaccination by Monday, October 25, 2021. Vaccines must be administered on or after August 2021.

Proof of vaccination can be submitted by upload in Workday. Instructions for uploading proof of vaccination is attached and video instructions can be found here.

You may request a medical or religious exemption to the influenza vaccination requirement by submitting the Vaccination Exemption Request form by Monday, October 25, 2021.

MICA’s Annual Flu Shot Clinic

MICA will hold the annual Flu Shot Clinic for Faculty and Staff on campus. The flu shots are covered at 100% through your MICA-sponsored CareFirst medical plan. As a current employee, if you do not have health insurance through MICA, the cost of your flu shot will be covered by MICA if administered at the annual MICA Flu Clinic.
