Randy is an accomplished and award winning visual artist, photographer, designer and educator and has worked professionally with interactive design, print media and digital imaging since 1992 — the proverbial digital imaging guru and expert in interactivity.
Randy was formally educated in the traditional arts and received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography and Mixed-media from Towson State University in 1992. Shortly after receiving his degree, he made the leap to digital imaging as a photographer and illustrator in the Caribbean. With the explosion of the Internet in the late ‘90s, Randy was an early adopter of web technologies. Seeing the creative and commercial potential of this expansive new medium, he immersed himself in projects of varying scope to master the Web and viral campaigns.
Since 1995, he’s been sharing his knowledge of digital imaging and design as an adjunct professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art and other institutions of higher knowledge. He has authored and taught numerous courses and workshops on computer graphics, design and photographic imaging. He has developed curriculum for undergraduate and graduate levels of study, and he also trains educators of secondary schools and colleges in the digital arts, as well as industry professionals.
