New Faculty: Fall 2026

MICA welcomes new undergraduate and graduate faculty members whose practices span painting, sculpture, illustration, public art, design, and interdisciplinary research.
Charlotte G. Chin Greene

Charlotte G. Chin Greene

Charlotte G. Chin Greene joins undergraduate Interdisciplinary Sculpture. An artist, curator, and educator, Greene works across sculpture, drawing, video, performance, and writing to investigate the interconnected ecologies and psychologies of human and nonhuman systems in the digital age. Greene is also co-director of the artist-run gallery, FJORD, and has taught at Sarah Lawrence College and Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University.

Maria De Los Angeles

Maria De Los Angeles

Maria De Los Angeles joins undergraduate Painting and Drawing. A Mexican-born American artist, De Los Angeles explores migration, belonging, and identity in her creative practice. Her work has been exhibited at institutions including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, LACMA, and the Museum of Sonoma County. A 2026 Fellow at the Lunder Institute for American Art, she previously served in Painting and Printmaking at Yale School of Art.

Lisk Feng ’14

Lisk Feng ’14

Lisk Feng ’14, graduate program director of the MFA in Illustration Practice, is an award-winning illustrator and MICA alumna whose work spans editorial, commercial, and children’s book illustration. Originally from China and based in New York City, Feng earned her MFA in Illustration Practice from MICA in 2014 and has worked with clients including The New Yorker, Apple, Penguin Random House, Airbnb, The New York Times, Chanel, and Wells Fargo.

Natovian McLeod

Natovian McLeod

Natovian McLeod, principal faculty for this year in the MA in Teaching program, is an arts educator, curriculum writer, and K–12 social-emotional learning curriculum developer whose work emphasizes culturally responsive teaching and student engagement. Her honors include Baltimore County Public Schools Novice Art Teacher of the Year and the Maryland Art Education Association’s 2022 Elementary Art Teacher of the Year award.

Zsudayka Nzinga ’25

Zsudayka Nzinga ’25

Zsudayka Nzinga ’25 is serving this year as principal faculty in the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting. A fine artist, curator, and educator, she is a 2025 graduate of the program and has more than 20 years of arts education experience. She has developed art programs and educator training initiatives, and her work has been exhibited at The Phillips Collection, the National Liberty Museum, AKAA in Paris, and SCOPE during Miami Art Week.

John Rego

John Rego

John Rego joins undergraduate Illustration. A painter, illustrator, and educator, Rego creates work inspired by lived experience, everyday observations, and relationships between people and the natural world. As an illustrator, he has worked across editorial, book, packaging, advertising, and fine art projects for clients including NPR, The New Yorker, The New York Times, FIFA, and Saucony.

Michael Weiss

Michael Weiss

Michael Weiss, interim director of MICA’s Mount Royal School, has been a member of MICA’s full-time faculty since 2003 and most recently served as associate provost and dean of undergraduate studies. An artist working with traditional painting and stained-glass materials and methods to create contemporary imagery, Weiss has exhibited widely throughout the region, and his work is held in numerous private and corporate collections.
