Dear MICA Community of Faculty, Parents, Staff, Students, and Trustees,
I hope this message finds you and your loved ones in continued health and wellness. This month marks an important shift for MICA in our COVID-19 navigation. Over the past 8 weeks, we have together faced the challenges and stark realities of the global pandemic. We have made necessary yet wrenching decisions such as the closing of the campus. And despite best efforts to consider and respect the unique perspectives and diverse needs of our constituencies, our decisions were made primarily as responses to rapidly escalating circumstances.
It is time for us as a campus community to adopt a proactive navigational approach through the COVID-19 crisis that is transparent, focused, realistic, and aspirational.
Please join me on Monday, May 11 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. (ET) for a MICA Community Town Hall to launch a comprehensive plan that will serve as our holistic strategy and roadmap for campus reopening, predictive problem solving, and ultimately the shaping of a stronger, bolder, and more resilient MICA.
To participate in the Town Hall Zoom, just click on this link: MICA Community Town Hall.
If you are unable to join the Zoom, meeting the event is also being live-streamed: here.
Virtual doors will open 10 minutes prior to the start time of 1:00 p.m. (ET) on Friday, May 11. Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and get comfortable.
See you on May 11 at the special Town Hall.
