Details about the provisional telework policy pilot.

Greetings,

I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing holiday weekend and that your summer is off to a great start. Please take time to enjoy it. This season will be over before you know it.

In preparation for the new school year, MICA is pleased to announce that we have finalized our provisional telework policy for Academic Year ’21-’22. We developed it over the course of several months and consulted with both SEC and FEC leadership for input and feedback. Their comments were instructive and very useful as we made key decisions about the policy direction.

Please note that this policy and the eligibility guidelines contained within it are intended to provide generalized guidance for department leaders and employees. Specific eligibility criteria and/or rubrics will vary based on departmental needs.

Finally, this policy should be considered provisional — we are using AY21-22 as a pilot year — as we strive to learn more about the needs of our community and the future of work here at MICA.
