Jo Golden, PhD believes in the promise and future of Design Leadership, staying curious, collaborating with AI, and forever questioning implications and orthodoxies. Jo’s passion for navigating the messy human realities of technology-driven change began with her doctoral research and evolved into a testing ground for her approach to design leadership, service design, futuring, and lifelong learning. As a futurist, she helps people imagine new worlds and as a strategic builder she uses design methods to bring those worlds to life.

Dr. Jo has loved shaping meaningful experiences in Foundations of Design Leadership since 2015. Based in Northern Virginia, she explores what it means to be human and orchestrate AI teams as the Innovation and Futures Principal at Brilliant Experience. Previously, Jo led the Design Studio at Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan to reimagine experiences, services, processes, and products. She also served as a Portfolio Design Director at Fjord, Accenture Federal Studio, overseeing complex design and innovation work across the US Departments of State, Commerce, Education, Energy, Justice, and Homeland Security.
