Howard el-Yasin (MICA ’16) is an multidisciplinary artist and curator based in New Haven, CT. Recent group and solo presentations of their work include Hygienic Art (2025), ART06870 (2025), Ely Center of Contemporary Art (2025) Atlantic Art Gallery (2024), Loomis Chafee School, Mercy Gallery (2023), Real Art Ways (2022), and Campbellsville University (2022). Their art practice focuses on the materiality of detritus, labor, race, gender, and somatic performative gestures to explore systemic phenomena of marginality. They are the co-founder/curator of SomethingProjects (somethingprojects.net)—a nomadic curatorial initiative.
