Graphic Design Graduate Students Win Prestigious National Awards

Twenty-five MICA graphic design graduate students and alumni won one-quarter of all awards at the STA 100 Design Competition in May. Organized by the Society of Typographic Arts (STA), the STA 100 Design Competition is an annual award competition that honors the 100 best examples of typographic excellence worldwide.

Twenty students and three alumni from the MICA Graphic Design MFA program and two students from the Graphic Design Master of Art (MA) program secured 25 awards for typographic excellence. Two students, Athang Samant ’27 and Harshith Ramesh ’27, won the highest honors, being selected for the Judge’s Choice Award.
