Damon Arhos

Damon Arhos is an interdisciplinary visual artist, art educator, and college administrator who lives and works in the Washington DC-Baltimore area. A gay American of Greek descent, he creates artworks that present portraits of identity as they reflect both queer experiences and cultural dichotomies. Arhos earned an MFA in Studio Art from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Represented by Catalyst Contemporary in Baltimore, he is Dean of the School of Art, Media, and Design at MICA and Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion for the College Art Association (CAA) Board of Directors. He also founded Explore Q+A, an online platform offering ways to engage with art + queer culture.
