Fabrication Studios Manager / Lazarus Center Wood Shop & Rinehart Sculpture Studio

Ann Walsh loves to make things and is dedicated to empowering others to do the same through education, mentoring, and creating inclusive shop spaces. She earned a BFA in Sculpture from Arizona State University and an MFA in Woodworking from Virginia Commonwealth University. After many years of running her own fabrication business, she has amassed a wealth of knowledge about various materials and processes and will happily share it with you. Her work fluctuates wildly between multi-media flights of fancy and practical wood-based craft. You can check it out at www.thestudiojones.com. In addition to public art pieces in Richmond, Virginia, and Landstuhl, Germany, Ann has shown in numerous galleries and retail shows like, the Gibson Island Art Gallery, Gibson Island, Maryland; the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia; the Horowitz Center Galleries at Howard Community College, Columbia, Maryland; and Maryland Art Place, Baltimore Maryland. The most recent retail shows include the American Craft-Made show in Baltimore, Maryland, and Craft + Design in Richmond, Virginia.
