The Alumni Art Market returns as a featured event during MICA Weekend 2025, taking place October 3 and 4. On Saturday October 4, the Brown Center Atrium will come alive with original artwork by MICA alumni spanning generations, disciplines, and creative practices.

Whether you are a collector, an art enthusiast, or a MICA alum ready to share your latest work, the Art Market offers a unique opportunity to connect with the community and experience the vibrant talent that defines MICA. Expect bold ideas, fresh designs, and one-of-a-kind pieces created by artists who got their start right here.

FAQ

The Alumni Art Market will take place on Saturday Oct 4, during MICA Weekend. The Market will be held indoors at MICA’s Brown Center, in the Atrium. Public sale hours: - Saturday: 11 AM – 5 PM

The Market is open to all MICA alumni artists. Space is limited and participation is based on an application and selection process.

Applications are open now and will remain open until we reach capacity. Applying does not guarantee acceptance. Once a member of the Alumni Relations Team is in touch with you and payment has been accepted you will receive further information.

Accepted vendors must confirm their participation and pay the table fee by August 15 , 2025.

You can choose between: Full Table (72" x 30"): $150 Half Table (36" x 30"): $75 Each vendor will be provided with a black tablecloth and two chairs.

No, vendors must use the tables and chairs provided. There is very limited wall space, and only blue painter’s tape may be used (no nails, tacks, or adhesives).

All artwork must be original and created by the exhibiting artist or collaborative team. Work must not infringe on other artists’ intellectual property. Food, live animals, and services are not permitted. Art Market reserves the right to curate the selection of vendors to reflect a broad and diverse range of work.

Yes. If the Market reaches capacity, a rolling waitlist will be maintained in case of cancellations.

Yes. Free parking is available in a designated MICA lot during Market hours for all participating vendors. Details will be shared in your confirmation email.

Vendors are responsible for collecting their own payments and for reporting and paying Maryland sales tax (6%). Temporary Maryland Sales Tax Licenses are available by calling 410-767-1543 or 410-767-1531.

Yes. We encourage you to share your participation on social media and tag MICA so we can amplify your post. MICA will also promote the Alumni Art Market through official channels and may highlight participating artists in the lead-up to the event.
