Sophomore Illustration Major

Naiznanku

Dasha Burobina is a fine artist from Togliatti, Russia. She is a sophomore illustration major with an animation concentration. Her recent works feature a multi-dimensional approach, often incorporating the contrast between traditional realism and contemporary abstract methods.

The collection Naiznanky translates as ‘Inside-out’, and poses questions regarding the true nature of people by going beneath the layer of casual cloth, revealing the inner personal characteristics, invisible at the first sight. The transparent vinyl garments represent the inside of person, flipped with the under-layer of casual cloth. The glowing in the dark patterns relate to a certain personal characteristic. The use of the switching lights showcases each person’s insides and outsides and allows the audience to perceive both. The collection empowers people to display their unique inner self organization and feelings prior to fashion trends and brand names.
