Studio courses offer a strong foundation for responding to complexities in Architectural Design through a multidisciplinary approach of observation, analysis, reflection and response.
As a preparation for ongoing learning and professional work beyond this program, the discipline of embracing the unknown is also encouraged through a practice of social and environmental responsibility.
Utilizing techniques practiced throughout various disciplines: drawing, material research, modeling / fabrication and the study of history, students are encouraged to cultivate an iterative process of design thinking. These methodologies will prepare students for the practice of architecture and can act as a translation between the Design & Innovation co-majors as well as Interdisciplinary Sculpture, Social Design, Illustration, Animation and other disciplines.
