Kern Samuel

Kern Samuel (b. 1990, Mount Hope, Trinidad and Tobago) employs painting as a means to explore material, process, and labor. Samuel  employs  tactile  techniques  such  as  sewing,  quilting, dyeing, folding, and embroidery to create his geometric and text- based  compositions.  Additionally,  he  draws  heavily  on  the linguistic and cultural nuances that emerge in everyday life, using them as a conceptual and visual framework.
