William Bisset is the Vice President for Enrollment Management at MICA

Dr. William J. Bisset brings thirty eight years of experience in higher education administration including senior leadership experience while serving as Marymount University’s (VA) Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs and Manhattan University’s Vice President for Enrollment Management. Most recently Dr. Bisset concluded a three-year term as the President and CEO of Lourdes University in Sylvania, Ohio.

Under his leadership as Chief Enrollment Officer, both Manhattan University and Marymount University enjoyed record growth in their undergraduate and graduate applicant pools while remaining faithful to their mission-centric commitments of serving diverse students and families of modest financial means. The strategic enrollment initiatives he introduced during his tenures at Manhattan and Marymount have been credited in assisting both schools receiving recognition as federally designated Hispanic-serving institutions.

In 2016 Dr Bisset was awarded the Lasallian Medal of Distinction by the Board of Trustees at LaSalle Academy for his extraordinary contributions to secondary education in the City of New York and most recently was the recipient of the David and Janice Sandys Eco-Service Award presented by Lourdes University’s Science Alliance for Valuing the Environment.

Dr. Bisset began his career as an Assistant Director of Admissions at his alma mater, Saint Anselm College and also served as the Director of Admissions at Assumption College (MA).

In addition to a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University, Dr. Bisset received a Masters of Education degree in Educational Administration, Policy, and Planning from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College.
