Summer Travel Intensives

December 1, 2017: Applications Due for Priority Scholarship Consideration

(The Office of Open Studies will communicate approximate scholarship levels to students prior to their leaving for winter break.) 

February 2, 2018: Registration Deadline and Deposits Due

($300 deposit + $50 registration fee)

March 23, 2018: Payments in Full Due

  • Appalachian Trail: Nature and American Identity (May 31 - June 23, 2018) with Richard Barber and Tru Johnson
  • London: Illustration Past and Present (June 10 - July 1, 2018) with Rebecca Bradley and Sam Lacombe
  • Paris: The City in Motion (July 2 - August 1, 2018) with Laurence Arcadias
  • South Korea: A Cultural Adventure ion the Soul of Korea (June 25 - July 20, 2018) with Fletcher Mackey and Charlie Hahn
  • South Africa: Colonial Histories and Contested Landscapes (July 23 - August 16, 2018) with Ian Bourland
  • Umbria: Painting and Drawing in an Italian Hill Town (May 26 - June 17, 2018) with Cornel Rubino and Leslie Shellow

Summer Travel Intensives are open to undergraduate and graduate students in all majors-18 years or older with a valid passport-who have completed at least one year of college. For all programs, credits can be applied to Studio Elective.
