Applications for spring semester 2010 are available online and in the Student Activities Office!

The Student Activities Office is opening the call for applications for spring 2010 Student Space Gallery exhibitions! The deadline to submit applications will be Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. (due in the Student Activities Office). The SSG process is open to current MICA undergraduate students only.
The Student Space Galleries are located in Bunting Center (Pinkard Gallery), Meyerhoff House (Piano Gallery) and two galleries in the Gateway (just outside the BBOX theater). While the process is competitive, we welcome any and all applications! You never know what type of exhibition will strike a chord with the jury, so everyone applying has an equal chance of being accepted. Junior and Senior students in particular are encouraged to apply (you will need to be on-campus at MICA during the spring 2010 semester)
If you decide to apply, consider the following things to strengthen your application:
- The jury is looking for applications that are completed thoroughly (follow the checklist on the application, don't omit any of the items on the list).
- Be sure to proofread your application! You would be surprised how many applications we receive that haven't even been spell checked or grammar checked.
- In terms of your artwork, the jury is looking for a cohesive body of work. You need to think about how the pieces you want to use will work together to create an exhibition that is compelling.
If you have any questions, please e-mail Katie McNiff at email@example.com or stop by the Student Activities Office in Meyerhoff.
