In April, several media stories emphasized President Fred Lazarus IV as a national leader in the advancement and integration of the arts, education and community development. He was particularly praised for his co-founding the Baltimore Design School, a non-performing arts middle/high school that will be located nearby in the Station North Arts and Entertainment District.
