The United States Artists awarded Susan Steinberg '90 a $50,000 Fellowship in Literature

Susan Steinberg ’90 was the 2010 recipient of the United States Artists Ziporyn Fellowship in Literature for her book, Hydroplane, which is a collection of short fiction stories. Prior to Hydroplane, Steinberg penned The End of Free Love and was an editor for Pleiades: A Journal of New Writing.
The United States Artists aims to showcase the finest American artists and their value to society by supporting all aspects of the fine arts, whether it’s writing, dance or visual. Their investments have produced new films, paintings, scripts, musical scores and more. By introducing artists of all disciplines to worldwide audiences, they’re fostering stronger social networking and artist-donor relationships within those communities.
Steinberg received a B.F.A. in painting from MICA and an M.F.A. from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She currently lives in San Francisco and is an assistant professor of English at the University of San Francisco.www.unitedstatesartists.org/SSteinberg
