Maren Hassinger Participates in Artist Roundtable Discussion at Brooklyn Museum

Roundtable: We Wanted a Revolution

Maren Hassinger, Director of the Rinehart School of Sculpture, participated in the artist rountable discussion "We Wanted a Revolution". The discussion was held on November 13, 2015 at the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, within the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.  The group discussed the role women of color in the arts held in the feminist dialogue during the 1970s, which revolved around race and class in the United States. The roundtable was held in anticipation of an upcoming exhibtion, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.

Participating artists included: Linda Goode Bryant, Dindga McCannon, Lorraine O'Grady, and Howardena Pindell. Moderated by art historian Andrea Barnwell Brownlee.
