MICA Exhibits Work by 2009 Sondheim Prize Semifinalists July 17-Aug. 2

Featured Artists Include College's Undergraduate and Graduate Alumni

BALTIMORE--MICA presents the 2009 Sondheim Prize Semi-Finalists Exhibition Friday, July 17-Sunday, Aug. 2 in the Decker and Meyerhoff galleries of Fox Building, 1303 W. Mount Royal Ave.

Twenty-five semi-finalists were selected in the first round of the $25,000 Janet & Walter Sondheim Prize. This exhibition expands on the finalist exhibition at The Baltimore Museum of Art by showing the broad range of artists whose work was reviewed in depth in the second round of the Sondheim review.

Participating artists are Seth Adelsberger, Baltimore; Alzaruba (MFA '90), Baltimore; Lisa Blas, Washington; Rachel Bone, Baltimore; Jessica Braiterman, Beltsville, Md.; Travis Childers, Fairfax, Va.; R.L. Croft, Manassas, Va.; Alyssa Dennis (BFA '03), Baltimore; Liz Ensz (BFA '05), Baltimore; Christian Herr, Lancaster, Pa.; Jason Horowitz, Arlington, Va.; Kim Manfredi (MFA '09), Baltimore; Katherine Mann (MFA '09), Baltimore; Sebastian Martorana (MFA '08), Baltimore; Lisa Moren, Baltimore; Ellen Nielsen (BFA '08), Baltimore; Louie Palu, Washington; and TwoCan Collective members Emily C-D (BFA '05) and Jessica Unterhalter (BFA '05), Baltimore.
