The Wall Street Journal commissioned Baltimore-based illustrator Gant Powell, a 2007 graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), to create a five-panel illustration for "The Other Campaign Trail," the paper's May 24 profile of the mom-and-pop race for delegate seats to the national conventions this summer.

Powell specifically illustrated the multi-step process to elect Democratic delegates from Washington state.

The artist posted one of the panels on his blog, http://gantpants.blogspot.com.
