1st Annual Edible Book Fest
Please join us for MICA's first annual edible book fest!
The event will be hosted by the Decker Library on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 12-2 p.m. in the Pinkard Gallery of the Bunting Building.
The Edible Book Festival is an annual international event that unites bibliophiles, book artists and food lovers to celebrate the ingestion of culture and its fulfilling nourishment. Any member of the MICA community may enter.
To qualify, entries "must be 'bookish' through the integration of text, literary inspiration or, quite simply, the form." We ask only that all entries be made out of something edible and reference books in some way, be it through the title, characters, author, cover/illustrations, etc.
We'll be voting on the following categories:
- Least Edible
- Most Appetizing
- Best in Show
The winners will receive a certificate and bragging rights. After the winners are announced we will eat all the entries, if edible. Feel free to come vote for and sample entries even if you don't make anything yourself.
Looking for inspiration? Check out the festival's website.
To enter, please fill out this form.
