Ashley Yazdani '16, graduate student in the MFA Illustration Practice program, has been awarded a Trinkett Clark Internship at the renowned Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, MA for the Summer 0f 2015. The paid internship is competitive and open to undergrad, graduate-level students, and recent college graduates interested in Museum Studies, the Arts, and Education.

This internship is a perfect fit to Ashley's interest and experience in picture books, and current rising interest in research and writing on picture books that emerged from her work in the ILP Critical Seminar course. She has also applied for The Meyerhoff Internship Fellowship Program supported by the The Meyerhoff Center for Career Development.

From the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art on the Trinkett Clark Internship:

Founded to honor the life, work, and vibrant spirit of Trinkett Clark, a woman devoted to the celebration of art and beauty in all its forms, this internship provides a unique opportunity for third- and fourth-year college and graduate-level students interested in pursuing careers associated with the arts and/or museums to gain practical experience within a nationally-renowned Museum dedicated to the art of the picture book.
