Afghan Women's Struggle and Resistance During War and Occupation

RAWA representative to speak at MICA on Oct. 12

“Zoya,” visiting from Afghanistan to represent RAWA (Revolutionary Association of Women of Afganistan) will speak about RAWA's work, women’s rights and welfare, the impact of the U.S. military intervention in her country, and how you can help.

For security reasons, no cameras are allowed at this event.

When:  Monday, Oct. 12, 7-9 p.m.

Where:  Room 320 of Brown Center, 1301 West Mount Royal Ave.

Handmade jewelry and embroidered items from Afghanistan will be sold to benefit RAWA’s humanitarian projects, which include orphanages and schools.  Cash, checks or credit cards will be accepted.
