Asian Student Alliance (ASA)

The purpose of this club is to share Asian culture within the MICA community through visits and explorations of various Asian communities in the Baltimore area. The Asian Student Alliance provides information about Asian culture and offers a mentoring network. The club is open to anyone who is interested regardless of their own cultural background.

Black Student Union (BSU)

BSU's mission is to improve the quality of campus life for students and provide the best environment to foster the creation of artwork. BSU organizes trips to culturally unique places and plans a variety of interesting activities. They work in tandem with the Mentoring Network.

Chinese Student Association (CSA)

Chinese Student Association is a place to create community for Chinese International students to gain knowledge about the greater Baltimore community. The CSA participates in activities with students from surrounding campuses to create a network with other Chinese students. CSA hosts many cultural events throughout the year open to anyone interested in learning more about Chinese culture.

Hispanic Latino Student Union (HLSU)

The HSLU will work to share knowledge and spread awareness of Hispanic/Latino culture on campus and in our communities. 

Korean International Student Association (KISA)

KISA Is a club for Korean international students at MICA. Our goal is to provide connections within the school and share information and ideas as international artists.

Maryland Institute Queer Alliance (MIQA)

MIQA (Maryland Institute Queer Alliance) provides a variety of programming, support, education, and social activities for those identifying as queer, questioning, or as an ally. MIQA celebrates queer culture and strives to build community on campus, all while having lots of fun!


This is a wellness/interest group for trans students, staff & faculty. This is a safe space where trans gender non-conforming people can socialize and partake in fun activities and build community.


OY! aims to provide a social opportunity for Jewish students, while also educating the campus about Jewish custom and culture, all without being political. Oy! encourages all people to participate.
