The Student Activities Office staff are here to support you in your leadership goals, whether it be through becoming an Orientation Leader, joining a student organization, participating in community-based learning, or just navigating through all the awesome events going on at MICA. If you have one-time questions or work with us regularly, we are here for you--get to know us!

Fun Fact: I was on national TV for having an obsession with kitchen gadgets. 

In my spare time, you can find me: spending time with my beautiful baby! I also like to run/exercise, eat (especially sweets/desserts) and trying new things. But mostly just chasing after my baby and smothering her with kisses!

Fun Fact: I won a bike on the Ellen DeGeneres show. 

In my spare time, you can find me: adventuring around Baltimore, going to festivals, movies, concerts, and bookstores, and playing with my dog.

Fun Fact: When I was a MICA student I won a grant to go on an archaeological dig in Italy fulfilling my dream to be Indiana Jones.

In my spare time, you can find me: planning world travels, building things, playing with my dog, and enjoying Baltimore with my friends and family.

Kristen Smith, Assistant Director of Student Activities for Community Arts

Fun Fact: I have been a natural brunette, redhead and blonde. Brunette at birth, redhead from 6 months to 1 year, and blonde for life.

In my spare time, you can find me: going out to eat, exercising at MICA Fitness, walking my puppy Bailey, and cheering for the Orioles & Ravens.

Robert Fronta, Program Coordinator, MDCCC AmeriCorps VISTA 

Fun Fact: I've met and shook hands with all of our living democratic presidents (except 1).

In my spare time, you can find me: singing, listening to music and adding to my 100+ LP collection...or discovering Baltimore and traveling.
