MICA Involvement Recognition Ceremony

The MICA Involvement Recognition Ceremony is a celebration of undergraduate and graduate student leadership and campus involvement. Established in 2004, the MICA Involvement Recognition Ceremony is an annual tradition that gives faculty and staff the opportunity to acknowledge all of the hard work and dedication that MICA students have provided the MICA community.

On this night we pay tribute to student involvement in the following areas: Departmental Leaders, Alternative Spring Break Coordinators, Community Site Leaders, Crew Members, Desk Assistants, Desk Coordinators, Diversity Intercultural Development (DID) Programming, DID Mentors, Committee Members, Fitness Assistants, Fitness Center Coordinators, Foundation Workshop Leaders, France Merrick Fellows, Graduate Student Union Leaders, Graduate Program Assistants, Interlink Mentors, International Orientation Leaders, International Affairs Resource Assistants, Leadershape participants, Orientation Leaders, Peer Career Advisors, Pre-College Desk Assistants, Program Managers, Resident Assistants, Senior Advisory Council, Student Ambassadors, Student Hearing Board Panelists, Student Clubs and Organization Officers, Student Voice Association Leadership, Student Space Gallery Jury, Student Wellness Coordinators, Studio Managers, Teacher Assistant/Resident Counselor (TARC) and Transfer Commuter Mentors.

As an invitation-only event, students should feel honored to have the opportunity to be recognized for their involvement. The reception is also a wonderful chance for students to connect with fellow leaders, administrators, and faculty. Please note that all nominated students are automatically invited, so be sure you nominate the leaders in your department!

During the ceremony the following awards will be presented:  Alumni Award for Student Leadership, Sidney Lake Award, The Fred Lazarus Leadership for Social Change Award, Emerging Leader Award, Outstanding Achievement in Leadership Award, Student Program of the Year Award, and Student Organization of the Year Award.
