Programs Linking Art, Culture and Education

Located in historic Bohemian Baltimore, MICA PLACE at 814 N. Collington Avenue serves as an integral piece in a dynamic community. The first and second floor house seminar, studio and gallery spaces where the surrounding community can engage in social and educational programs. Residents will be afforded valuable experiences in civic activism and urban community building. Residents will be able to work collaboratively with other graduate students an inter-institutional level.


Each two-bedroom apartment is newly renovated. The apartments are spacious, ranging from 615 to 830 square feet. The common areas are all wood flooring and the bedroom spaces are newly carpeted. Each apartment is also equipped with individually regulated air conditioning and heat. Each apartment has great natural light during the day and city scape views in the evening.


Each apartment contains a fullly remodeled kitchen equipped with brand new appliances including a four-burner, gas stove and full sized refrigerator. Each kitchen has newly installed cabinetry, fixtures and wood flooring.


The newly renovated bathroom has all new tile flooring, a full bathtub and shower unit.

Community Space

The first and second floors house community-oriented meeting spaces, including gallery, seminar, and studio spaces. These spaces will house innovative programs and events providing opporunities for residents to engage in urban community building and artistic expression.


This facility is fully equipped with easy to use wireless services. Direct data jacks are also accessible in each bedroom. New washers and dryers are available for use on the bottom level as well as vending machines.


MICA PLACE has the latest in innovative security technology. Entry into the building is restricted by a card access system. Residents will have the convenience to allow visitor access by a video-phone system from their apartment. Residents and visitors have 24/7 access to MICA Campus Safety staff for routine and emergency assistance 365 days a year.
