Open House for Senior and Transfer Students

Explore our facilities, view exhibitions of work by students and nationally renowned artists, learn more about our programs of study and offerings, and interact with emerging artists and renowned art professionals. We look forward to meeting and talking with you.

Open House Schedule for Admitted High School Seniors and All Transfer Students

9:00 a.m. Check-in for registered guests

9:30 a.m-11:30 a.m.:  Student-Guided Tour

Student-guided tours of the campus will depart throughout the morning beginning at 9:30 a.m.

11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Educating the Artist

A discussion of the special nature of MICA's educational program and how it uniquely prepares artists for the evolving world of art and design. The panel includes current students and is led by President Samuel Hoi and Provost David Bogen.

12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m

Lunch will be served in the Meyerhoff House Dining Room.  Purchase lunch tickets during morning registration for registered guests.

1:45-4 p.m. Studio and Classroom Visits

Visit departments, view facilities, and meet informally with faculty and students. All studio and liberal arts departments will be open.

1:45-4 p.m. Student-Support Services Fair

Visit informally with professional staff who will answer questions and tell you more about the services we offer in Residence Life, Student Activities, Financial Aid, Career Development, Study Abroad & International Programs, the Learning Resource Center and Diversity & International Culture.

1:45-4 p.m. Parent-to-Parent Roundtable

MICA parents will be on hand to answer your questions and share their insights into the MICA experience.

3-4 p.m. Transfer Student Information Session

A presentation from the Coordinator of Transfer Admission, designed to answer your questions about transferring to MICA.
