National Portfolio Day is an opportunity for those who wish to pursue an education in the visual and related arts to meet with representatives from colleges accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. On Sunday, November 22, 2015, MICA will host the National Portfolio Day in Baltimore, where representatives from 53 colleges and universities will be available at the to review your artwork, discuss their programs and answer questions about professional careers in art. High school students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors and college transfer students are encouraged to attend.
High school students may schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor to discuss our programs of study and student life and to receive individual portfolio counseling. You may choose to have a formal evaluation of your artwork for admission or receive preliminary counseling. Campus tours can also be linked to your visit.
Our student-guided tour of the campus is perhaps the best way to gauge if MICA is the right college for you. MICA's Spring Open House for Admitted Student is scheduled for Sunday, April 3, 2016 and Open House for High School Juniors and Sophomores will be taking place on Sunday, April 17, 2016. This is an opportunity for you to tour the campus, view exhibitions of student artwork, and hear directly from MICA students and faculty about our programs of study and student life. Registration will be available beginning February 2016.
