Help & Resources

To ensure that technology at MICA runs smoothly, the department of Technology Systems and Services here at MICA operates a Help Desk, which is where students, their families, staff, and faculty can find assistance with technology at MICA.

As an example, please contact the Help Desk with any questions or issues regarding MICA accounts, if there is a problem with a MICA computer, if you have questions about what kind of computer to buy for studying at MICA, and for assistance in logging onto the school's wireless network. The Help Desk staff is comprised of many different, highly qualified technicians, so it is a great contact no matter what the techological issue or question may be.

The actual office for the Help Desk is located on the 2nd floor of the Art Tech Center (1208 W. Mount Royal Avenue), very close to the MICA Print Lab. If you have a technology question or need, please feel free to stop by and let us know.  Here are the working hours for the Help Desk:

Monday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday Closed
Sunday Closed


* Please note that the Help Desk staff is scheduled for a lunch break at 12 pm - 1 pm daily.

Any people who have an issue outside of those operating hours can either send an email, or leave a voice mail about the issue, and the Help Desk staff will respond to the issue as soon as possible.  Any messages left for the Help Desk staff should include as much information about the issue as possible, as well as a name and phone number to discuss the issue further, if need be.  

During the fall and spring semesters, the AV Desk (also known as the Tech Desk), can provide some basic Help Desk support after 4:30 pm during the week at the phone number (410) 225 - 2301.
