In order to be eligible to register for classes during the registration period, undergraduate students at the sophomore to senior level must:

Students should plan to meet with their assigned Academic Advisor prior to the start of the registration period to ensure that their Advising Hold will be removed in time for registration. If at the time of registration, a student has a financial hold because of a balance owed on his/her account, that student will not be able to register for the upcoming semester until the balance is zeroed. Students should contact Student Accounts to address any balance issues.

Students returning from a Leave of Absence must submit an Application for Readmittance and have a meeting with their Academic Advisor before he/she is eligible for registration.

Registration Process

During the first year of study, Freshmen are registered for classes by the Foundation Academic Advisor. All current MICA students at the sophomore level or higher register for courses online through their student service center. Students can use these step-by-step instructions when registering for courses through the student services center.

Prior to the beginning of the registration period, the Office of Enrollment Services has copies of the Schedule of Classes available for pick-up at the front desk and updates the Schedule of Classes link (see the menu on the left) with the pdf copy. However, students are best to use the online searchable Schedule of Classes in the student service center for the most up-to-date version of the upcoming semester schedule. This is where students can find information such as updated instructor names, room numbers, and if courses are still available or have added more seats.

If you are a current MICA student at any level and are having issues accessing your student services center, please contact the Help Desk.
