Thomas Gardner

Thomas Gardner

Thomas Gardner is a full-time faculty member and part of MICA's Center for Social Design, teaching in the M.A. in Social Design program. Gardner received a Master of Architecture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Texas, Austin. He has worked with Steven Holl Architects in New York and Stanley Saitowitz in San Francisco, where he was project architect for Boston's New England Holocaust Memorial. He is a co-founder of HousingOperative, a Detroit agency dedicated to architecture for social change, and with Project H, he led an architecture program for high school students in Berkeley, Ca. He has also taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and The New School Parsons School of Design.
