Jessica Wyatt is from Salina, Kansas and graduated from Beloit College in 2007 with a BA in Anthropology. She joined the Peace Corps where she served as an Agroforestry volunteer for the Kolda region of Senegal, Africa in September from 2008 - April 2010. She moved to Baltimore in June 2010 to begin her studies in MICA's MFA in Community Arts Program. In addition to making artwork, Jessica is served an instructor with the Refugee Youth Project's after school programming and a Graduate Teaching Intern at MICA with the Foundations and Fibers department before completing her MFA in May 2012.
Jessica currently teaches Art Matters at MICA in addition to her position as the coordinator of a service-learning program at Montgomery College in Takoma Park, Maryland. She is also a practicing artist working primarily with textiles.
