The Maryland Institute College of Art Campus Safety Department received a report of an Attempted Armed Robbery that took place today at 9:00 AM. Although this incident did not occur on the Campus, we are sharing this information, so that appropriate precautions may be taken. MICA's Campus Safety continues to investigate this reported incident as details of the incident are still unclear.

REPORTED OFFENSE: a MICA student reported at approximately 09:00 AM she was the victim of an attempted robbery. The student reported two very young males attempted to take her back pack.

SUSPECTS: Both suspects are described as two small black males approximately 8 years old, (but no older than 12 years old), both are described a medium complexion and wearing blue jeans. Additional description information is being gathered.

On her way to the campus, one of the males pushed her in her back and stated, "Drop your stuff." When she refused refused the older looking male produced a handgun and asked her for her bag. The student began to scream and both males fled on foot westbound in the 200-blk W. Lafayette.
