MICA connects to the Internet using a T3 fiber optic connection through
Cogent Communications. This connection provides 45 MBPS of dedicated
Internet service to the campus. Services are configured to provide 10 MB
each to the Commons and Meyerhoff House and the remaining 25 MB to the
general campus.
The network is comprised of an Administrative Network and a Residential
Network. In addition, a casmpus-wide wireless network provide internet
and email access to students, faculty, and staff over about 85% of the
campus.. For more detailed information on each of these networks please
