Typography Boot Camp will look at current trends in typography and will explore how today’s trends relate to the past. Two assignments per day will be executed in class and discussed after daily lectures. They will consist of one smaller, “quick fire†project and one longer, more meaningful assignment, both followed by critiques. This intensive typography seminar will also study type hierarchy in publications— both print and digital, as well as infographics. Note: Students must be able to work in InDesign.

Intro to HTML5, CSS and Javascript Weekend Seminar is an intensive hands-on course teaching
students the skills needed to create modern Web sites. This class will examine the elements of
HTML5 mark-up, designing with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and some of the new JavaScript
features used with HTML5. Topics include audio, video, geolocation, drawing in the browser, offline
storage , as well as the JavaScript jQuery library and current trends in Web design. Note: Students
