DECKER LIBRARY Reserve materials are required or supplemental course readings that faculty members want to make available to all of their students. Items from both Decker Library and a faculty member's own personal collection may be placed on reserve.
Materials on reserve can be requested for use at the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library. Reserve items can be checked out for a two-hour period and are for in-library use only.
The Library Catalog can be used to look up items on Reserve by Course or Instructor; click on "Reserve Desk".
Faculty members can use this Reserve Request Form to submit requests; this form is also available at the Circulation Desk. Proposed reserve books and articles must be delivered by the faculty to the Circulation Desk along with a completed Reserve Request form for each item. The full Faculty Reserves Policy can be viewed on the User Guidelines - Faculty page.
Questions regarding Reserves can be directed to the Circulation Supervisor, Sera Matteo (410) 225-2272.
MEDIA RESOURCES COLLECTION Reserve materials can include videos, DVDs, slides, and CD-ROM that faculty members want to make accessible for their students to use. We can also reserve a faculty member's personal copies of items.
Students may request reserve materials at the MRC desk. Unless otherwise specified by their instructor, students must view reserve materials in Bunting 170, a screening room adjacent to the MRC. Students requesting reserve materials should know the name of the item they are requesting, their instructor's name, and the name of their course.
Faculty members who need to reserve a specific item for classroom screening should make their request at least 48 hours in advance. Please remember that materials are not returned in a timely manner.
Questions about and requests for reserve materials can be directed to Audrey Collins (410) 225-2274.
