Purpose Meetings Membership Links Archive

Purpose

The New Art Round Table of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) will focus on issues related to new art.

The primary objective of NART is to promote current awareness of new trends and developments in contemporary art and examine related library issues created by changes in the field.

Another objective of NART is to bring together ARLIS/NA members who are both librarians and contributers to current art activities as artists, writers, curators, etc.

Any person joining or renewing membership in the Art Libraries Society of North America can join the New Art Round Table by selecting it in the Divisions, Sections, and Round Tables area of the membership form. There is no additional charge beyond the ARLIS/NA membership fee.

Meetings of the New Art Round Table are held annually at the ARLIS/NA national conference. News items pertaining to relevant activities can be contributed by members to the ARLIS/NA UPDATE column which is published electronically 6 times a year.
