Artist’s Talk - Peter

Mount Royal Station Auditorium, 1400 Cathedral Street Peter Kuper co-founded the political comix ’zine
World War 3, and remains on its editorial board. His illustrations
appear regularly in Time, The New York Times, and MAD, where he
illustrates “SPY vs. SPY.” He has done adaptations of
Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle and numerous Franz Kafka short
stories all of which can be seen in SPEECHLESS, a coffee-table art
book spanning his career to date. A new wordless graphic novel,
Sticks and Stones, will be published in 2004. This talk is a part
of a Peter Kuper artist residency at MICA sponsored by the Department
of Illustration.
Chezia Thompson Saturday, March 6, 1 pm
Mount Royal Station Auditorium, 1400 Cathedral Street Chezia Thompson is creating a story to
be performed on March 6th at 1:00 pm in room s3 Station building.
It will be a family event for ages middle school and up. The story
is about african ties relate to comics today.She will be performing
a story called Tornado Tale with visuals made in conjunction with
Stanford Carpenter.
