Exhibition Development Seminar: Web Design
Rachael Umbriano
“Maps transcend their traditional role as they invade everyday life and help to navigate, plan and understand my surroundings.”
Rachael Umbriano is a sophomore graphic design, book arts, and culture and politics major from Franklin, Massachusetts. In addition to the importance of her studio work, Rachel strongly believes in the value of writing and research, and is always looking for a new academic challenge. She has participated in the Community Arts Partnership (CAP) at MICA and taught art lessons to students at Eutaw Washburn Elementary School. Her experience there, as well her relationships with other students and faculty, have informed her sense of community awareness and involvement. In the future, Rachael plans to pursue travel abroad, internships and graduate school for exhibit design.
